What is Soft Tissue Therapy?
Soft tissue therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues in the body e.g. muscle, fascia, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints to alleviate pain and dysfunction.
Your body responds to stress, injury, muscle overuse and chronic conditions and adapts to overcome them. Over time, this can lead to postural imbalance, compensatory overuse or underuse patterns and further injury. My goal is to determine what is causing the dysfunction and help to reduce this to achieve equilibrium.
Who can benefit from Soft Tissue Therapy?
You don't need to be an athlete to benefit from Soft Tissue Therapy (STT). It can be used to treat all kinds of muscle tension, spasm, and scar tissue. If you are recovering from injury or surgery, train at the gym or play sports, dance or have a manual profession, STT can be beneficial.
